License and Certification Qualifications: None required.

Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Three years of experience in information systems technologies including experience with Student Information System functions required. Experience with a K-12 Student Information System at a public school preferred. Experience with K-12 State and Federal reporting preferred.

Skills Qualifications: High degree of logical reasoning; ability to work and communicate with others in an effective and professional manner; ability to analyze and solve problems; ability to translate user needs and problems into creative solutions; ability to work independently; and ability to create and deliver staff development which supports the deployment of the Student Information System application, and delivery of state and federal reporting.

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting State and Federal data reporting to ensure regulatory compliance and supporting student information applications to collect and validate data.

1. Foster collaboration with users throughout the district concerning the reporting of Student Information.
a. Communicate with users to evaluate and determine needed action to resolve problems.
b. Specify data quality issues and trends that emerge in the course of data processing and interactions with local schools.
c. Provideguidance and training pertaining to data reporting matters.

2. Support creation and communication of data, timelines, and reports involving student data.
a. Prepare and issue formal communications to local schools about procedures, application updates, and delivery timelines in accordance with divisional and central office policy.
b. Provide and maintain State and Federal procedures and guidelines for customers.

3. Provide ongoing support of the State and Federal data reporting.
a. Provide level III support to users with Student Information applications, reports, and queries.
b. Support local school personnel in maintaining accurate data in the Student Information System.
c. Maintain a high degree of technical competence in use of designated user software and utilities.

4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
