The Office Manager provides support to the Exceptional Students Program (ESP) department and ensures the efficient operations of the department. The Office Manager coordinates, oversees, and completes administrative duties of the office.
QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma in Business Office Technology or equivalent; Two years' clerical experience in a school office or related setting; Experience in working with sensitive information regarding students; able to perfom duties maintaining confidentiality along with professional demeanor when interacting with parents; Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel and Word; Such alternatives to the above qualifications as teh School Board may find appropriate. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent communication and organizational skills; Ability to collect, sort, prepare and scan documents, and label them for easy identification; Ability to ensure that all records are properly updated, and maintained in an accurate and confidential manner. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Greets and interacts effectively with the general public, staff members, students, teachers, parents and administrators, using tact and good judgment; Provides secretarial and clerical support for building administrator(s); Responds to telephone calls, route calls and take messages; Prepares agendas for meetings, complete reports, questionnaires, documents, schedules and records; Maintains a weekly report of ESP staff attendance, leave records and travel; Monitors and replenishes inventory materials; Assists in maintaining efficient office operations by providing clerical relief as needed; Performs other such duties needed or assigned by the supervisor.
