POSITION: Service Desk Analyst I

LOCATION: Albany High Complex


JOB SUMMARY:

The Service Desk Analyst I will provide level one desktop support and analyze hardware/software related problems and escalates issues to the proper DCSS Information Technology support group.


QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field; Must have a minimum of two years of technical “Help Desk” experience; Must be able to identify and solve problems associated with computer hardware, machine components such as printers and scanners, and computer software and applications. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent verbal and written communications, customer service/support skills; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to work with a degree of accuracy; Be able to multitask; Detail oriented; Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond to customers’ calls/incidents within the predefined metrics; Provides network connectivity for computing hardware and troubleshoots network problems related to DCSS Technology environment; Provides phone support to internal clients; Creates trouble tickets and provides problem resolution to escalating calls when necessary; Provides resolutions of desktop software applications and other systems hardware/software to include CCTV, Telephone, Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Apple iOS, Mac OS, and connectivity for other software applications; Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems. Accurately record customers’ incident data; Perform problem diagnosis and first call resolution; Research and respond to questions received; Performs first level troubleshooting; Performs basic hardware repairs for computing and IOT devices. Work within service level agreement defined by the business unit; Set reasonable levels of expectations regarding time needed for resolution; Assist with problem trend observation and documentation. Performs other such duties needed or assigned by the supervisor.


REPORTS TO: Chief Information Officer

SALARY RANGE: Twelve month. Competitive salary and excellent benefit package, in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide.
