Maintenance Mechanic II / III

 Day-to-Day Role

 Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements. 

  •  Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards 

  •  Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) 

  •  Install, diagnose, analyze, maintain, modify, repair and/or rebuild a variety of plant and facility equipment

  •  Repair equipment during mechanical breakdowns or assist other staff in repairs

  •  Assist production personnel in change-over and set-ups

  •  Dismantle defective machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas or to install new or repaired parts

  •  May perform one or more of the following responsibilities within production or facilities maintenance:

o    Communicate with operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human error contributed to the problems

o    Layout, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.

o    Assist machinist / fabricators in fabricating parts

o    Follow specification of basic blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings, install, maintain and repair equipment, machinery, physical structures and plumbing/electrical systems.

o    Use tools ranging from common hand tools and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic devices. 

o    Operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), hoist, crane, and aerial lift

o    Inspect, operate, or test faulty machinery, equipment, programmable controllers, and motors to diagnose machine malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and apply knowledge of the functional operation of machinery 

  •  Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and operate efficiently

  •  Maintain accurate documentation for assignments, machine repairs, parts inventory, and maintenance logs

  •  Learn and use SAP Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Work Order Process, production schedules and reports, HMI control panels and machine controls and settings

  •  Prioritize work assignments to ensure efficiency and that production schedules can be met

  •  Train other Maintenance Mechanics as required

  •  May troubleshoot basic electrical equipment problems such as changing fuses, buttons, and switches

  •  Utiltize specific knowledge for a variety of skilled trades, including but not limited to, production and facility machinery and equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pipefitting, carpentry, utilities, etc.

Additionally, a Maintenance Mechanic III -

  •  Perform root cause analysis

  •  Understand precedence relationships (e.g. sequence of events)

  •  Diagnose and repair complex machine and electrical problems, including multiple components on the same production line that are interlinked, assembly mechanisms or automated controls machines

  • ·Troubleshoot and analyze control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration

  •  Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work orders in order to plan, layout and complete work

  •  Install, maintain and repair equipment, machinery, physical structures and plumbing/electrical systems.

  •  Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data

  •  Understand and use SAP Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Work Order Process, production schedules and reports, HMI control panels and machine controls and settings

Core Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  •  Three (3) years’ experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience with trade school or training

  •  Special knowledge in use of hand-tools, power-tools, machining, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, electrical, etc.

  •  Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

  •  Familiar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versa

  •  Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

  •  Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gauges

  •  Ability to learn and understand manufacturing processes and able to inspect and repair or replace components.

  •  Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures

  •  Proficient in reading and following basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics

  •  Experience operating test equipment and/or software

  •  Experience operating various hand and power tools

  •  Working knowledge of automated controls

  •  Ability to operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), hoists and cranes, and maintain PIT certification

  •  Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues

Additionally, a Maintenance Mechanic III must possess:

  •  Five (5) years’ experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience with trade school or training

  •  Ability to perform root cause analysis, compare and investigate information, and recommend and implement resolution

  •  Proven analytical problem solver

  •  Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities

  •  Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

  •  Advanced understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gauges

  •  Understand manufacturing processes and able to inspect and repair or replace components.

  •  Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics

  •  Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to modify basic reports, documents and spreadsheets in MS Word, and MS Excel

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  •  Paper converting, chemical/plastics processing and/or packaging industrial experience

  •  Vocational, Technical or Associate Degree in Machine Tool, Machine Maintenance, Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanics, Mechatronics Technology, Automation Controls, Robotics or related field

  •  Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to modify basic reports, documents and spreadsheets in MS Word, and MS Excel

  •  Experience in electrical and mechanical trades such as HVAC, PLC, and CNC

Production Supervisor

Responsible for leading and developing employees, as well as meeting defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for Safety, Quality, Production, Service and Efficiency.  Schedule priority production machines and/or lines and employees accordingly. Assist and work under the direction of the Production Manager. While performing the supervisory duties listed below, the supervisor is required to spend 75% of time on the production floor.

Day-to-Day Role:

  •  Supervise and promote practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards, and serve the needs of our customers.  This includes a commitment to a process of continuous improvement.
  •  Take ownership and demonstrate leadership necessary to achieve goals specific to Safety, Quality, Service, Efficiency and Employee Development 
  •  Lead by example to promote and encourage employees to strongly commit to safety.
  •  Establish an environment that encourages employee engagement, participation and teamwork within and between all departments 
  •  Schedule product priorities, equipment, workstations and staff to efficiently meet production goals on time.  This includes taking daily attendance, scheduling personnel on specific lines and coordinating lunch and rest breaks.
  •  Track Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of targets.  This includes generating any necessary reports for site management as required.
  •  Solicit assistance from other departments and management as necessary to achieve productivity goals and targets.
  •  Enter production and employee data into computer systems as required.
  •  Audit the floor as required by Leader Standard Work, monitor productivity metrics, verify adherence to procedures/ standard work and correct deficiencies as necessary.
  •  Inspect product and sign quality control check sheets as required per quality standards / procedures.
  •  Understand, support and follow management expectations in alignment with company values.
  • · Conduct or participate in the interview process with new candidates.
  •  Take an active role in the onboarding of new hires, including ensuring that training is complete to a satisfactory level.
  •  Supervise and direct the work of others including assignments of breaks, lunches, and other relief periods.
  •  Make decisions and recommendations regarding, hiring, terminations, overtime and pay adjustments.
  •  Responsible for employee development, discipline, performance feedback and appraisals, administration of polices, time off approvals, etc.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  •  Two (2) years supervisory experience required with demonstrated strong leadership and management skills

  •  High School Diploma or GED 

  •  Three (3) years of experience in a production environment

  •  Displays strong interpersonal skills and is accessible and approachable

  •  Ability to utilize and train employees on technology, processes and procedures

  •  Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes

  •  Strong written communication skills demonstrating the ability to prepare outlines, reports, letters, and any other supplemental materials in a clear and concise manner

Plant Accounting Manager I

Key partner to manufacturing operations through monitoring financial performance measures, providing financial analysis to management and providing financial consultation.  Responsible for the integrity of all financial information originating within assigned manufacturing locations(s) including understanding monthly allocations processes and guiding the plant on appropriate cost center utilization.  Calculate and analyze product costs, perform regular audits of costs and related master data, and complete month-end controlling processes. 

The candidate will be required to work 5 days a week onsite and possibly cover multiple plant locations.
Day to Day Roles

  • Support creation of annual operating plan for plant controllable operating expense and capital expenditures

  • Maintain variance analysis to planned expenses and support efforts to reforecast costs during the plan year

  • Perform the annual product cost standard setting process, periodic updates as required, and daily development of the product costs

  • Prepare all journal entries and account reconciliations on a monthly basis, including complex correcting journals or analytical schedules that support reserves

  • Analyze plant financial data, including cost center reports, activity rates, variances and inventory valuation.  Prepare flux analysis and complex ad hoc financial analysis.

  • Complete the timely and accurate completion of month-end, year-end and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis

  • Perform error resolution/root cause analysis and implement process changes

  • Identify and implement strategic initiatives to improve efficiencies and customer service

  • Create accurate and concise verbal and written communications to internal departments and external business partners about accounting-related information

  • Manage special projects individually or as part of a cross-functional team, ensuring timely decision making and completion

  • Manage, perform and interpret data analytics to assist in business decisions

  • Support accounting policy implementation and training of plant accounting personnel.  Enforce, support and seek to enhance the procedures around internal controls through cooperation and collaboration with the Internal Audit Department.

  • Maintain secure control of accounting-related documentation such as invoices, checks, journal entries and financial statements

  • Maintain accurate job aids for all duties assigned

Core Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance

  • Five (5) years of experience in accounting or finance

  • Three (3) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with plant managers and other business partners with an emphasis on cost analysis

  • Experience in assisting with development of financial justifications for capital expenditures and performance improvement projects

  • Knowledge of query, reporting and data analysis tools

  • Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets (e.g., formulas such as V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables)

  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal customers

  • Proven analytical problem solver

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop new ideas and solutions

  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines

As one of our Electrician's you will be maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment and electrical systems for the entire Conyers facility! It’s a position where responsibility includes, troubleshooting, diagnosing, electrical schematics, supporting our manufacturing environment and exposure to evolving technology!!

This position will perform electrical troubleshooting on CNC and Servo control systems used on various mills and lathes, and will provide a variety of electrical maintenance services to ensure the proper operation of various machining centers.

Day-to-Day Role
Electrician II -

  • Utilize electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gauges
  • Perform analog and digital circuit design by utilizing microprocessor hardware and software configurations
  • Use Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) including basic and ladder logic to read/write basic wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints in order to diagnosis problems
  • Draw electrical schematics
  • Understand precedence relationships (e.g. sequence of events)
  • Maintain and utilize maintenance systems for work orders, breakdown reporting and track machine modifications. 
  • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair complex machine and electrical and electronic problems including non-routine electrical issues such as power quality
  • Assemble component electrical parts per specifications and bench testing before installation
  • Read and thoroughly understand electrical schematics and apply that understanding to real time systems
  • Update schematic drawings to incorporate changes in equipment as needed
  • Plan layout of wiring and install conduit, wiring and ancillary electrical equipment
  • Install power supply wiring and conduit and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Completes root cause analysis and recommends solutions
  • Participate in small process improvement teams
  • Train other electricians
  • Use SAP for Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Work Order Process

Additionally, as an Electrician III -

  • Lead electrical or electronic projects requiring installation or upgrade
  • Compile documents, analyze test data, and perform electrical calculations to determine source of problems and the corrective action to take.
  • Read, understand, interpret, draw and update electrical schematics and drawings
  • Conduct root cause analysis and make recommendations
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and/or cross functional team projects
  • Serve as a technical resource for less experienced Electricians and maintenance staff
  • Apply advanced, complex troubleshooting
  • May analyze complex control systems to resolve in-depth software/ hardware and configuration problems

Core Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Five (5) years of experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery, or comparable experience with trade school or training
  • Ability to read/write wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints and analytical diagnosis of problems
  • Ability to program Programmable Logic Controllers using basic and ladder logic
  • Thorough understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gauges 
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and algebra
  • Familiar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versa
  • Familiar with and ability to convert units (imperial to SI, etc.)
  • Must have an understanding of microprocessor hardware and software configurations and be able to perform basic analog and digital circuit design
  • Know how to use Multi-meter, scope, basic hand tools, and portable power tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) license
  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues

Additonally, as an Electrician III:

  • Seven (7) years of experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery, or comparable experience with trade school or training
  • Ability to read, write, interpret and draw wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints and analytical diagnosis of problems
  • Understanding of electrical laws and principals (KVL, Ohm’s Law, Power Law, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gauges
  • Ability to make changes to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using advanced ladder logic, read/write wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints, and analytical diagnosis of problems
  • Ability to originate instruction documents that can be used by other technicians to perform preventive maintenance or verify electrical system operation.
  • Must have an understanding of microprocessor hardware and software configurations and be able to perform complex analog and digital circuit design

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior experience using software for Preventive Maintenance (PM) and work orders, SAP 
  • Associates Degree in Electronics Technology
  • Apprenticeship training or equivalent electrical trade school
  • Prior PIT experience
