License and Certification Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.



Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Five years of experience in data integration, data science, data, engineering, or related field required. Two years of experience in a leadership position in the information system field preferred.


Skills Qualifications: Ability to be customer service oriented to internal and external customers and effectively communicate with school system employees; ability to conceptualize abstract concepts and translate user needs and problems into creative solutions; ability to analyze and solve problems; thorough knowledge of application areas and programming languages; ability to lead and manage a team effectively; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to set and meet deadlines; and ability to work across functional departments and interact with employees at all levels of the organization.


Primary Responsibilities: The coordinator is primarily focused on ensuring operational performance and maintaining an optimal environment for data including management of integrations, data structures, and accompanying processes.


1. Lead the development of a modern data infrastructure that drives decision-making at all levels of the organization.

2. Guide and lead continuous improvement by developing and maintaining data, integrations, and components, including but not limited to application to application integrations, services, internal and external API to promote effective business process.

3. Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and department leaders to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization.

4. Demonstrate leadership in making improvements to current processes, policies, systems, or products to enhance performance of job area.
5. Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.

6. Drive automation through effective metadata management using innovative and modern tools, techniques, and architectures.

7. Provide recommendations for solution or improvements to system processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.

8. Plan, maintain, and implement applications and systems based off departmental / organizational needs and objectives to include monitoring, supporting complex escalations, and troubleshooting of incidents related to assigned systems and applications.

9. Oversee development of project timelines, identify key project dates, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for systems/application integrations.

10. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
