POSITION: Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) Case Manager

LOCATION: Albany High Complex


Under the supervision of the CTAE Coordinator, plans and organizes the daily activities of the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) program. Recruits applicants for the program. Performs case management and referral activities. Responsible for program entry paperwork, job placement, and follow-up. Communicates and maintains accurate records and reports of client participation. Establishes a working relationship with the public, community, and service delivery organizations and/or agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or higher; Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent communication and organizational skills; Ability to relate to and motivate all students in a positive manner with respect; Ability to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.

Gathers eligibility determination documentation to prospective participants and ensures that a complete eligibility file is submitted to the WIOA Skills Center staff for eligibility determination; Provides ongoing assessments for needs-related services; Administers all assessment instruments following protocol and updates scores in the GWS as needed; Provides all enrollment and exit documentation to the SEGA Workforce Investment Board; Adheres to all aspects of the contract between Board of Education and SWGA Workforce Investment Board; Plans and distributes information and ensures documentation of participants taking part in planned activities; Conducts regular data entry into GWS and monitors the accuracy of data entered into GWS; Recruits possible worksites for Work Experience activities, orientate work site supervisors, and completes all financial documentation necessary to set up and maintain worksites; Conducts and/or schedules instructor/guest speakers for all classroom activities; Attends all mandatory training provided for WIOA staff; Plans and conducts extracurricular activities for participants; Counsels participants on various topics; Performs other such duties needed or assigned by the supervisor.
REPORTS TO: CTAE Coordinator

SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide.
