License and Certification Qualifications: Current professional HR certification issued by HRCI (PHR or SPHR) or SHRM (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Minimum of three years of experience in compensation, accounting, finance, or human resources required.

Skills Qualifications: Proficient in computer applications skills; excellent interpersonal and human relations skills; ability to maintain records with high degree of accuracy; accurately collect, compare, analyze and present quantitative data; successfully write reports, business correspondence, and process manual entries; effectively analyze information and respond appropriately to questions from employees; and effectively use a range of computer software, PeopleSoft preferred.

Primary Responsibilities: To provide assistance in monitoring and coordinating specialized processes dealing with compensation, salary study development, termination processing, salary supplement processing, miscellaneous processing, and certification upgrades.

1. Process compensation administration transactions for the district.
a. Process assigned compensation workflow transactions.
b. Research, review, and respond to request that require an adjustment to employees compensation information.
c. Research and respond to request for salary quotes for potential new hires.
d. Maintain all application screens including job data, personal information, experience and contracts.
e. Troubleshoot compensation processing for potential errors.

2. Provide world-class customer service for compensation issues and questions.
a. Assist the compensation staff in resolving complex compensation issues.
b. Research, review, and respond to customer inquiries concerning compensation issues.

3. Assist in the monitoring of the work flow between Business & Finance and Human Resources.
a. Monitor the flow of compensation documents between Business & Finance and Human Resources.

4. Monitor the calculating and processing of employee department chair, sponsor and coaching supplements.
a. Establish and maintain a process for the calculation of salary supplements.
b. Calculate and process salary supplements.
c, Assist with the administration of eSupplement as appropriate.

5. Monitor compensation issues regarding certification upgrades and downgrades.
a. Calculate and monitor the compensation revisions of certificate upgrades and downgrades.

6. Monitor and process miscellaneous payroll transactions
a. Regulate the verification and data entry of miscellaneous payroll Information.

7. Monitor and process termination transactions.
a. Establish and Maintain the flow of compensation information concerning termination between Human Resources and Business & Finance (Payroll and Retirement).

8. Provide assistance in the creation and distribution of all employment contracts
a. Assist the Compensation Coordinator in the distribution of all employment contracts.
b. Respond to customer services request concerning contract Issues.

9. Assist with Salary Study requests.
a. Assist with the school systems participation in salary studies conducted by external agencies such as MRESA, Department of Education, and Local Agencies.

10. Assist with employee work day calendars.
a. Assist the Coordinator of Compensation with the creation of annual employee work day calendars.

11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
