POSITION: Coordinator of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE)

LOCATION: Albany High Complex

JOB SUMMARY:

The Coordinator of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) ensures the successful development and support for a rigorous, coherent college/career-readiness program and that associated goals are aligned to the district’s strategic plan. The Coordinator is responsible for the systemic implementation of the CTAE program, signature programs, and college/career readiness initiatives while continuously collaborating with school leadership, the community, central office departments, and all internal and external stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or related field; advanced degree preferred; Experience and successful track record managing and implementing CTAE programs and curriculum; Appropriate Georgia Leadership Certification in the area of Educational Leadership or similar; Five years of successful experience in public school administration and/or supervision, plus seven years of certified school experience required; Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and the Board may find appropriate.
SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to effectively collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and provide leadership which results in the best possible outcomes; Ability to organize grants, funds, programs, personnel, and activities required for productive CTAE programs; Ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues; Ability to manage grant fund and financial, material, and human resources effectively; Proven ability to make recommendations on various topics, detailed, controversial, simple or complex; Ability to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate program goals and initiatives; Ability to exercise strict confidence in handling sensitive information; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with building leaders, counselors, and district faculty to establish and maintain an educational program consistent with the district’s and school’s philosophy, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; Organizes and coordinates CTAE programs, tasks, and materials to enhance student learning and teacher effectiveness; Manages the execution of CTAE initiatives aligned to the district’s strategic plan; Collaborates with local colleges, businesses, and organizations to enhance and create educational opportunities for students that increase dual enrollment, certification, professional credentials, and internships; Collaborates extensively with college and career centers and high schools to build and extend industry certifications for students across the district that align with high interest and high demand careers; Prepares budgets for the general school account; approves and supervises all expenditures within the school; Assesses the strengths of the school programs, identifies opportunities, and takes supportive action to strengthen CTAE pathways and programs; Engages in ongoing data analysis and creates actionable improvement goals; Ensures the timely submission of required documents, reports, and grants to the Associate Superintendent for the Superintendents approval; Performs other duties as assigned.
REPORTS TO: Associate Superintendent for Academic Services

SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package, in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide.
