License and Certification Qualifications: None required.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Five years experience in media production using video and other communication technologies required. Minimum three years of experience managing people. Experience in production environments such as broadcast television, film production, corporate, educational, or governmental video, and/or live event management preferred. Experience in video production for content delivered either through social media or online preferred.

Skills Qualifications: Knowledge and competency in all aspects needed to create videos including camera operation, audio, lighting, set design, set construction, and directing talent; ability to think creatively in project creation; ability to work independently and as a lead member to positively impact a team; effectively coordinate work and communication across all stakeholders; strong written and verbal skills; skilled at recognizing the scope of a project to correctly assign resources; ability to meet deadlines while supporting the delivery and creation of media; capability to effectively organize people and resources to accomplish tasks; ability to thrive in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility, adaptability, and maintaining composure; desire to learn how to use new resources and processes to be successful.

Primary Responsibilities: Create, develop, and oversee video productions for district communications, staff development, and instructional initiatives as well as coordinate support and staging of live events for the Department of Broadcast and AV Media.

1. Assist the Director of Broadcast and AV Media in coordinating video project requests.
a. Evaluate and prioritize video project proposals.
b. Determine the scope of video needs through discussions with customers.
c. Determine appropriate method of video delivery through discussions with customers.
d. Adhere to departmental project management processes and ensure that others comply.
e. Maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external clients.

2. Coordinate and oversee the production for all Gwinnett County Public Schools video needs.
a. Direct the determination of appropriate content for video projects.
b. Participate as a team member in department initiatives for pre-production, production, and post-production.
c. Ensure accuracy of information presented and ensure grammatical integrity.
d. Collaborate as needed for script writing.

3. Manage staff responsible for the production of videos that meet customer requirements.
a. Ensure production staff are trained and knowledgeable across all areas and systems of video production.
b. Coordinate ongoing production schedule for assigned projects.
c. Encourage and facilitate staff development opportunities for staff.
d. Recruit and manage contractor workforce.

4. Research, evaluate, and purchase equipment needed for video productions and live events.
a. Coordinate ongoing inspection of production resources.
b. Facilitate maintenance and repair of production resources.
c. Stay informed on development in equipment and technologies necessary to produce videos.
d. Oversee the use, maintenance, and enhancement of the GCPS TV studio.

5. Collaborate with district and school leaders in the production of videos and live event planning/project management in support of annual district events.
a. Work one-on-one with appropriate leaders in schools, departments, and/or divisions to plan and produce videos for these events that adhere to the content and brand standards established by the district.

6. Provide continuous quality improvement to departmental processes.

7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
