License and Certification Qualifications: Must be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree required; Master?s degree preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Minimum of three years of school leadership and/or 8 years of demonstrated effective communication and advocacy for diverse populations. Experience working with youth and family development, developing community partnerships, and community engagement initiatives preferred. At least one year of experience teaching adult learners preferred.

Skills Qualifications: Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills; ability to coach and teach individuals and groups; ability to maintain a positive and inclusive demeanor in various situations; ability to analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement; effective organization and planning in a collaborative environment. Ability to speak, write, and translate fluently in English and Spanish preferred.

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing the community-based mentoring programs to support identified students and parents of students through academic and behavioral interventions.

1. Work within the Office of Community Schools to provide resources, training, and support to Community School Coordinators (CSC) throughout the district.

a. Model and support the implementation of Needs Assessments of under-served students and families in GCPS (Gwinnett County Public Schools).

b. Tailor training for the CSC that supports the four-pillar Community School model.

c. Build partnerships with community organizations that provide services to GCPS students' families.

d. Provide resources and models for shared leaders practices with CSCs (Community School Coordinators), Principals, and local school leadership to include diverse members of the community and local partners.

e. Measure and monitor impact on student outcomes through implementation of a multi-tiered system of support and appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs). 2. Meet regularly with assigned Community School Coordinators to increase their leadership capacity in implementing the Coalition of Community Schools four-pillar model.
a. Support the implementation of integrated student support to include wrap-around services for each student in the assigned clusters.
b. Support the implementation of expanded and enriched learning opportunities for each student in the assigned clusters.
c. Support the facilitation of increased family and community engagement that reflects every family in the assigned clusters.
d. Support the facilitation of collaborative leadership practices in the implementation of wrap-around services for each family in the assigned clusters.
3. Meet regularly with current and potential community partners .
a. Develop expanded learning and enrichment opportunities for each student in GCPS.
b. Vet vendors and potential partners to provide access and opportunities for each community member to become engaged stakeholders in Gwinnett County Public Schools.
c. Develop processes and procedures for implementation and sustainability in schools.
4. Practice highly effective social-emotional skills.
a. Demonstrate appropriate and effective body language in communicating the message.
b. Cultivate and sustain effective relationships.
c. Continually seek growth and development in culturally relevant practices.
d. Foster leadership development of others.
5. Model professionalism through:
a. Personal research and development of collaborative leadership practices.
b. Receiving constructive feedback from others, including those who are not your direct supervisors.
c. Research current best practices for increasing agency and shared ownership among students and families.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. Employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
