License and Certification Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certificate in Educational Leadership in the field of instructional technology, technology innovation or media required, and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

Education Qualifications: Master's degree in related field required. Specialist or doctorate degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Five years of experience in educational instructional technology innovation required. Four years of experience in a leadership position in the information or instructional technology field preferred. Successful experience implementing various technologies in instructional and classroom settings.

Skills Qualifications: Ability to develop, lead, and supervise K-12 instructional technology innovation. Collaboration with Curriculum and Instruction, School Operations, and Information Management and Technology. Evaluate, select, procure, and implement technology into district and classroom settings, develop and support media, and training programs to achieve the district's mission, vision, and goals; strong leadership skills; high degree of skill in oral and written communications; high degree of skill in organization and problem-solving; effective teamwork and collaborative skills for coordination of support programs with other curricular and instructional programs to reach desired adoption and effective use of Instructional Technology; ability to lead others in the pursuit of district's mission, vision, and goals as related to technology innovation and distribution of resources; ability to project and generate positive attitudes; and ability to work successfully with colleagues. Establish and conduct efficacy of GCPS? Instructional Technology and share findings with GCPS stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities: Provide leadership, design, collaboration, and support for all aspects of systemwide instructional technology plan and Media/Library programs. Research and selection of technology, procurement and implementation of all instructional related technology.

1. Provide executive level leadership to the departments within Instructional Technology and Innovation.

2. Collaborate with all departments and divisions within the district to provide instructional and innovative technology for new and on-going curriculum.

3. Set the direction for classroom learning management tools and media programs.

4. Maintain full understanding of instructional technology best practices, methods, and resources that positively influence student outcomes. 5. Maintain knowledge of current trends in instructional technology and media programs by attending pertinent conferences and reading industry publications.
6. Direct and develop Operational Management Plans (OMPs) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the district media and instructional technology programs.
7. Budget oversight for the Department Instructional Technology and Innovation.
8. Direct the continuous improvement efforts for all departmental processes.
9. Be knowledgeable of Federal and State laws regarding the use of instructional technology; understand, implement, and periodically review and recommend updates to GCPS instructional technology policies.
10. Prepare school technology refresh/retrofit schedule and share with stakeholders.

11. Drive adoption of digital resources and use data to monitor usage

12. Follow GCPS policies and procedures.

13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. Employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
