License and Certification Qualifications: Valid Georgia teaching certificate and L-5 certification preferred.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master's degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Five years of successful teaching, counseling, an/or technology experience with development and delivery of staff development required. Instructional leadership experience preferred; experience in online learning and SASIxp preferred.

Skills Qualifications: Ability to use and develop online resources to support instruction; strong instructional technology skills, including productivity software and web-based recourses; ability to determine scope of work necessary to complete self-directed projects; understanding of curriculum as it impacts high school graduation requirements; ability to work successfully with colleagues and stakeholders, including district-level personnel, school-based personnel, parents, and students; ability to project and generate positive attitudes; ability to communicate clearly in formal and informal settings

Primary Responsibilities: Planning, developing, and implementing courses, professional development, technological tools and instructional support programs, and working closely with students and teachers to assure student achievement.

1. Plan for strategic improvement of program.
a. Determine each semester's course offerings based on the system's needs.
b. Develop and implement a plan of reporting student data to home schools.
c. Develop a plan for effective communication of student achievement data for instructional improvement.
d. Evaluate effectiveness of different online learning models.
e. Assess needs for additional online models and offerings.

2. Develop program initiatives, professional learning, and student services.
a. Involve appropriate staff from various grade levels, schools, and related programs in determining course development priorities.
b. Work closely with school level personnel to support students' progress toward graduation.
c. Develop and facilitate staff development plans and delivery for program.

3. Manage of program for continuous improvement.
a. Support vision, mission, and goals of the district through Online Campus programs.
b. Utilize program data to identify areas requiring change and collaborate with director to plan improvements.
c. Work with district, community, and school-based personnel to suggest appropriate uses of online learning.
d. Instruct online courses as needed.

4. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
a. Collaborate with instructional staff on communication needs of parents and students.
b. Develop appropriate promotional and information materials for internal and external publication.
c. Address parent questions and concerns after first and second line communication with teacher and department chair has not reached a resolution.
d. Present program data and information to various audiences, including school counselors, administrators, parent, and student groups.

5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. Employee is also required to talk, hear, stand and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
