License and Certification Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certification in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

Education Qualifications: Master's degree in related field required. Specialist or doctorate degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Five years of successful teaching experience with two years in an instructional leadership or school-wide administrative role required. Experience as a system-level instructional or assessment coordinator and experience in high, middle, and elementary school levels preferred.

Skills Qualifications: Ability to work as a member of a high-functioning team, in collaboration with other departments and the local schools, in the implementation of the district?s mission, vision, and goals; ability to coordinate, supervise, manage and support the district?s K-12 balanced assessment system; ability to interpret, evaluate, and articulate assessment data to various stakeholders; ability to provide high quality professional learning to various stakeholders in the areas of assessment administration, interpretation of data, as it impacts student achievement, and school accountability results; ability to provide concise and accurate written and verbal communication; ability to evaluate system-wide and local school programs to determine success of a plan as related to assessment; possess knowledge of testing administration; possess strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and technology skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, other databases that support assessment, and assessment platforms.

Primary Responsibilities: As part of Gwinnett County Public Schools? balanced assessment system, the Coordinator of Assessment is responsible for supporting local schools in the administration of national, state, and local standardized assessments, as well as supporting schools in the area of state accountability. Additionally, the Coordinator of Assessment works closely with teacher teams in development and reviews of all district created assessments.

1. Create training materials for Testing Coordinators and Examiners for the administration of standardized assessments including Georgia Milestones, GAA, ACCESS, CogAT, MAP, iReady, PSAT, and other assessments in the GCPS Assessment System.

2. Support School Testing Coordinators through clear, concise communication, including, but not limited to, in-person meetings, digital meetings, emails, phone calls, the Accountability and Assessment Resource Center, and the Anomalies and Requisitions Databases.
a. Post and update pertinent standardized assessment related information in the AARC.

3. Monitor local school testing processes and procedures during test administration windows.

4. Work with vendors and the GCPS Test Distribution Center to ensure schools have assessment materials in a timely manner and return materials as required.
a. Coordinate the return of assessment materials to the vendor through collaboration with the TDC staff and the vendor to assign freight and shipping arrangements.

5. Work collaboratively with the GaDOE, GCPS IMT, GCPS Data Governance, and vendors to ensure that the standardized assessment program in GCPS works within prescribed guidelines.
a. Coordinate to have students, teachers, and school leaders added to assessment platforms.
b. Coordinate to ensure that technology configurations for assessments are up to date to provide assessment administrations on various online platforms.

6. Collaborate with Special Education and English Learners Departments to update and edit assessment training guides and allowable accommodations per assessment.

7. Support the Executive Director of Accountability and Assessment and the Director of Assessment in matters related to standardized testing.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
